Women’s Empowerment Program

WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT

Empowerment is a crucial component of any attempt to tackle the root of poverty.

The MOM Foundation supports empowerment programs in the regions of Telangra and Andhra Pradash that bring about relevant change in women’s lives. The programs provide training and informational seminars to develop their self-respect and foster independence. There are many social issues that affect the lives of women in Indian communities.  The poor and toiling women are constantly confronted with violence, assaults, persecution, abduction, and immoral trafficking.

Women have a significant role to play in society, their communities, and within their own families.  Their lives are full – nurturing their children, creating a home, providing for their families.  All this while sacrificing their own needs.  Educated women become empowered women that can bring about positive change for themselves and their entire families.

We support this program in India through our partnership with Village Development Organization (VDO) and Light For Blind Organization.
